Linda fought a courageous battle with melanoma for 6 years. March 3, 2012, she lost her battle but went home to be with God.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and awesome friend. She devoted much of her time to the well-being of others, always more concerned with others than herself during her long battle with this disease.
Her participation in clinical trials led to the BRAF drug being approved by the FDA. Linda left behind a legacy for all those fighting melanoma or who will be diagnosed with it in the future.
Never complaining about her battle, she was constantly saying “others have it worse.” Those she touched in her lifetime are forever better individuals … knowing the true meaning of humility, appreciating every moment one has on earth, and fighting this disease with courage and dignity beyond words.
