Our dad was a very health-conscious man his entire life. Dad loved golf, tennis, and fishing … all while never using sunscreen. Dad was very handsome and looked great with a tan. His wife finally forced him into visiting a derm about an itchy spot on his back.
Dad was diagnosed with melanoma in October 2009. The melanoma spread to his brain May 2010 and killed him October 2010. I truly thank God that our dad didn’t have to suffer for very long.
We all miss him terribly and wish that he could play with all of his sweet grandchildren. I promised him on his deathbed that I would share his story and warn others about tanning. I don’t know if he heard me or not, but God heard me & I’m sure He told my dad!
