My sweet, precious mom, age 63, passed away a few days ago, and our hearts are broken. She had a rare melanoma that started in her small intestines, and she tried seven different clinical trials at UCLA in hopes of finding a miracle that would save her life. It was so horrific to see her suffer at the end, and I could not stand to watch it another day. I’m so relieved for her that the pain is over and she is now at peace, but we miss her dearly.
She was an amazing soul with a zest for life and love for her family that is unmatched. She fought such a good fight, just so she would not have to leave her family she loved so much. She had a wonderful husband of 43 years, and she and my dad were perfect soul mates. My brother, me, and my two sisters, along with her seven grandbabies, will do our best to keep her memory alive.
I hate this disease and what it has done to our family. I hope her pain and suffering during all her experimental trials will help someone else beat it some day. We will all miss her and can’t image how we will go on without her love and laughter to fill our homes.
We love you mama…forever and always.
