My daughter found a spot on her leg, had it tested and found it to be stage I melanoma, she was 29 at the time. Dr. said to check other family members for same. She did, and found some questionable spots on her younger brother, Adam who was 26 at that time. Bioposy found it to also be stage III melanoma, which immediate surgery was performed. It eventually spread to the lymph nodes and then to the brain where whole head radiation was done. Adam passed away a short two years after initial diaginosis at 28. Adam left a 5 year old boy, Austin. Adam’s sister is being checked often, and has bioposies often for any sign of a recurrance.
