Kim Molina, Acral letingenous melanoma

Two months ago my story begins. June 18th 2024 the phone rang and the foot doctor told me it wasn’t fungus but Acral melanoma. Node biopsy turned out positive. PET scan cleared me from solid tumors. Brain MRI Monday and starting treatment on Tuesday. I’m fortunate to have my family and friends surround me with love and support. This is my second rare and aggressive cancer as I was diagnosed 12 years earlier with triple negative breast cancer stage 3C. This is very scary to go through but I really on my faith to get me through the anxieties. If you have been newly diagnosed be your own advocate. If I wasn’t my own advocate I still would be waiting to get PET scan. Fight hard for yourself. As this disease effects more than just you.
