Date of Diagnosis: 04/01/2008
While watching television with my wife, my back was itching, after I scratched my fingers had blood on them so I asked my wife to look. She said it was a mole bleeding. I made an appointment with a dermatologist. After the mole was removed, a few days later I got THE CALL. He informed me I had Stage III melanoma and had to have surgery a.s.a.p. Before surgery nuclear imaging was done and the nearby lymph nodes were positive also.
That was April of 2008. Every yearly checkup since has been negative for any more signs of melanoma. I had great Dr’s and most of all I have a God of wonders. 🙂
