Diane was the most amazing woman I will ever know, she was my Mother. She was a wonderful mother to three girls, a best friend to her twin sister, and a devoted loved one to her significant other.
Diane went above and beyond for her friends and family, always putting others before herself. She was a successful realtor in the Dallas area and adored by anyone lucky enough to have known her. She had an infectious laugh, an unforgettable smile, and was a vision of beauty!
She enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, walking, biking, and cooking with the love of her life, David! She also loved traveling and dining at their favorite spots. She enjoyed playing bridge and shopping for antiques with her longtime friends. Diane started each day with a phone call to her twin sister Suzanne and she cherished this little tradition they had!
Diane was diagnosed with Melanoma in August of 2006. Once we knew the extent, she enrolled in a clinical study. After completing only two rounds of Temador, the cancer had spread and she was no longer eligible for clinical studies. We started with Hospice in early November. She spent her last few months, wearing the same smile she had for 55 years, in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by family, the way she wanted.
Diane was an incredible woman whom handled her death with as much grace and class as she did her life. She will forever be in our hearts.
My mom was my best friend and I miss her more than anything! I can only hope to become more and more like her throughout my life. My heart goes out to anyone affected by this merciless disease. I am dedicated to supporting research and raising awareness of Melanoma in her honor.
I love you Mom,
Chelle
