12/02/1950 — 10/28/2011
My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma in July 2010. He was given 6 months or less to live because it was in his heart, liver, lungs, brain, kidney, and skin. He received 10 days radiation for the five spots on his brain, and then he did chemotherapy every 28 days at home in a pill form.
He was a warrior through it all and gave God all power and control. He made peace with his disease from day 1 and was an inspiration to me and many others. My husband fought this every step of the way. He passed away October 28, 2011, at 2:04 pm.
He lost his battle to this horrible disease but was the winner in the end because through his journey he showed his faith and determination and never complained. Some of his last words were “Thy will be done…Whatever the Lord wants.” So through his journey he told a great story, and he was my husband, my best friend, my warrior.
R.I.P., my love. Your battle and journey are over, but you came out the winner in the end for you never charged God foolish.
